Honda Cars India sales rise 7% in fiscal year 2024-25
Honda Cars India saw a 7% increase in sales for fiscal year 2024-25, supported by the launch of the All-New 3rd Generation Amaze, Elevate Black Edition, and the Apex Edition of the Honda City.
Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) reported total sales of 12,304 units in January 2025, with domestic sales reaching 7,325 units and exports accounting for 4,979 units. The company's cumulative sales for the fiscal year April 2024 to January 2025 reached 103,944 units, marking a 7% growth compared to 97,164 units in the same period last year.
The January 2025 figures show changes in both domestic and export performance compared to January 2024, when the company recorded 8,681 units in domestic sales and 4,531 units in exports.
Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd., attributed the sales performance to recent product launches, including the All-New 3rd Generation Amaze and Elevate Black Edition. The company also introduced a new Apex Edition of the Honda City to maintain sales momentum.
Honda Cars India, which established its presence in the Indian market in 1995, has maintained its position in the premium car segment through a focused product strategy. The company operates manufacturing facilities in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and Tapukara, Rajasthan.
The current sales figures reflect Honda's continuing efforts to strengthen its position in the Indian automotive market through product refreshments and new variants. The company's performance aligns with the broader industry trend of recovery in the premium car segment.
The growth in cumulative sales during the current fiscal year indicates sustained demand for Honda's product lineup in both domestic and export markets, despite the competitive nature of India's automotive sector.
