Honda Cars India Sales Decline 22% in June
Domestic sales dropped by 3.9%, while exports saw a sharp fall of 89.8% year-on-year.
Honda Cars India reported total sales of 5,124 units in June 2025, comprising 4,618 units sold in the domestic market and 506 units exported. This marks a 22% decline in overall sales compared to June 2024, when the company recorded 4,804 domestic sales and 4,972 export units. Domestic sales dropped by 3.9%, while exports saw a sharp fall of 89.8% year-on-year.
Commenting on the sales performance, Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India Ltd., said, “Given the ongoing market conditions and cautious consumer sentiment, we continued to strategically moderate our dispatches this month to maintain optimal inventory levels across our network. We remain optimistic about gradual improvement in demand in the coming months, supported by encouraging monsoon and upcoming festive period.”
Honda Cars India Ltd. operates a manufacturing facility in Tapukara, Rajasthan. The company has a wide network of dealerships and service centers across India. HCIL also operates Honda Auto Terrace, offering certified pre-owned vehicles through a structured used car business platform.
