Honda Announces New Branding Strategy for Electric and ICE Motorcycles

Honda has unveiled a new branding strategy that will distinguish its electric motorcycles from traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) models through separate product marks and emblems.

The company announced on November 6, 2025, that electric motorcycles will feature a new "Honda" wordmark in a dedicated font, while ICE motorcycles will retain the traditional Wing mark. This branding approach mirrors Honda's existing strategy in its automobile division, where electric vehicles already carry the new Honda font.

For ICE motorcycles, Honda is introducing the "Honda Flagship WING" emblem for premium models. The redesigned emblem replaces the previous silver wing on red background with a simplified silver and black monochromatic design. According to the company, the new emblem creates better harmony across various models and body colors while incorporating sustainable materials, specifically recycled acrylic resin.

The Honda Flagship WING emblem will be applied to flagship models within product families including the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, Rebel 1100, and Gold Wing series. The emblem made its debut on the V3R900 E-Compressor Prototype at EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy, and will be rolled out across flagship models from 2026 onwards.

Honda positioned 2024 as the inaugural year of its global electric motorcycle expansion, with initial market entry in Asia followed by expansion to other regions. The new electric branding will appear on upcoming global models starting with the Honda WN7, as well as at authorized electric motorcycle dealerships and in motorsports activities.

The company stated that the distinct branding represents its commitment to electrification and the pursuit of new value unique to electric vehicles, separate from conventional ICE models.
