Hero MotoCorp Sustains Festive Momentum with 6.36 Lakh October Dispatches; VIDA EVs Surge 117% YoY

Hero MotoCorp maintained its growth trajectory through the festive season, dispatching 6,35,808 units in October 2025, marking the second consecutive month of over six lakh wholesales. The company also recorded nearly 10 lakh (9.95 lakh) retail registrations on VAHAN, underscoring robust festive demand and improving consumer sentiment.

Although October dispatches were 6.4% lower year-on-year compared to 6,79,091 units in October 2024, they remained largely stable month-on-month, easing slightly from 6,87,220 units in September 2025. The moderation was attributed to production alignment after festive stock build-up in September.

Segment Performance: Scooters Lead Growth

Scooter sales surged 50.2% year-on-year, rising from 43,304 units in October 2024 to 65,055 units in October 2025, supported by strong demand for the Destini, Xoom, and Pleasure range. Motorcycles, which form the bulk of Hero’s portfolio, saw a decline of 10.2% YoY, to 5,70,753 units from 6,35,787 units a year ago, reflecting model transitions and selective production scheduling.

In the domestic market, Hero dispatched 6,04,829 units versus 6,57,403 units in October 2024, while exports jumped 43% YoY to 30,979 units, up from 21,688 units, led by expansion into new markets in Europe — including Italy, Spain, France, and the UK — with Euro5+ compliant models like the Hunk 440 and Xpulse 200.

Festive Boost and Policy Tailwinds

The company attributed its strong retail showing to the recent GST rate reduction on two-wheelers, announced ahead of the festive period, which helped revive demand across urban and rural markets. According to VAHAN data, Hero recorded a 9.95 lakh-unit retail performance in October 2025, with particularly strong traction for commuter models such as Splendor, Xpulse, and GlamourX.

EV Surge: VIDA Records Triple-Digit Growth

Hero’s electric brand, VIDA, registered around 16,000 VAHAN registrations in October 2025 — a 24% month-on-month increase from 12,736 units in September and a 117% jump over October 2024 — driven by strong demand for the VIDA VX2 EVOOTER.

Global Momentum and Outlook

Hero’s Global Business reported 30,979 units in October 2025, a 42.8% jump YoY, contributing to a 54% growth in H1 FY26 exports at 1.76 lakh units. With entry into Europe and ongoing demand in key markets across Asia, Africa, and Latin America, the company’s global footprint now extends to 52 countries across five continents.

Looking ahead, Hero MotoCorp expects steady retail demand into the post-festive months, buoyed by policy support, new product launches, and the ramp-up of its EV portfolio. The company remains on course to strengthen its position across ICE, premium, and electric segments in FY26.
