BMW group delivers over 5,000 electric vehicles in India

BMW group delivers over 5,000 electric vehicles in India

BMW Group India has delivered over 5,000 electric vehicles in the country.  The number includes all-electric two and four wheelers spread across three brands, BMW, BMW Motorrad and Mini. BMW Group India’s electric vehicle line-up includes models like the BMW i7, iX, i5, i4, iX1 Long Wheelbase, MINI Countryman E, BMW CE 04 and CE 02 electric scooters.

Additionally, BMW Group has also announced that the company has inaugurated a 4,000 km high-power charging corridor spanning from Jammu to Madurai, covering key national highways and cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Hubbali, Bengaluru, Coimbatore and Madurai. The corridor features chargers every 300 km, with power capacities ranging from 120 kW up to 720 kW, and has been developed in partnership with Statiq and Zeon. BMW has opened this network to all EV brands, ensuring wider adoption and ease of electric mobility. Live charger status, nearby amenities, and payment integration will be accessible through in-car and in-app digital services.

Speaking on the achievement, Mr. Vikram Pawah, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said:

In H1 2025 (Jan–Jun), BMW and MINI sold 1,322 EVs, registering a massive +234% YoY growth, with electric vehicles now making up 18% of BMW Group India’s total sales. The made for India iX1 LWB SUV emerged as the best-seller for the group followed by the flagship BMW i7 full-size sedan.
