Blue Energy Motors Delivers LNG Trucks to Inland World Logistics

Blue Energy Motors has delivered a fleet of LNG-powered heavy-duty trucks to Inland World Logistics, marking the logistics company’s entry into sustainable transportation. The handover took place at Blue Energy Motors’ manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune.

The LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) trucks are part of Blue Energy Motors’ broader strategy to reduce emissions in India's freight transport sector. The trucks reportedly produce 30% lower CO₂ emissions compared to conventional diesel trucks and offer reduced operating costs, while maintaining payload and power performance.

With this delivery, Blue Energy Motors continues expanding its presence in the alternative fuel segment. The company currently has over 800 LNG trucks operating on Indian highways, which have collectively logged more than 50 million kilometres and contributed to an estimated 14,000-tonne reduction in CO₂ emissions.

Commenting on the development, Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO of Blue Energy Motors, said the company is focused on enabling cleaner mobility at scale through fleet-wise adoption and regional expansion. Praveen Somani, Managing Director of Inland World Logistics, stated that transitioning to LNG aligns with the company’s efforts to reduce its carbon footprint without compromising operational efficiency.

Blue Energy Motors is also working with industry stakeholders to expand refuelling infrastructure and facilitate broader LNG adoption in long-haul trucking.

Blue Energy Motors, founded in 2020 and headquartered in Chakan, Pune, manufactures zero-emission heavy‑duty trucks powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), with plans to add electric models. Its Chakan plant, operational since September 2022, has a capacity of 10,000 trucks annually.

The company has deployed over 800 LNG trucks, which have covered more than 50 million km and cut CO₂ emissions by approximately 14,000 tonnes—equivalent to the carbon absorption of 560,000 trees . Blue Energy Motors' model combines truck production, LNG fueling infrastructure, and service support to accelerate green freight in India.
