Big Boy Toyz launches Cars.co.in, India’s first full-stack pre-owned luxury car marketplace

Big Boy Toyz (BBT), a prominent pre-owned exotic car company in India, has announced the launch of Cars.co.in (CCI), an online platform designed for buying and selling luxury cars. This platform provides consumers with an accessible way to explore a wide range of luxury cars from their homes.

Cars.co.in is designed to maintain high standards in terms of vehicle quality, documentation, and transparency, building on BBT’s two decades of experience in the market.

With its foray into e-commerce, Cars.co.in aims to streamline the luxury car purchasing process. The platform offers convenient delivery options, ensuring that cars can be delivered to buyers across the country. It also allows car owners to sell their vehicles without the expenses associated with traditional dealerships, such as infrastructure and inventory-related costs. By reducing these expenses, CCI can offer competitive pricing to sellers.

India's pre-owned luxury car market has grown significantly in recent years, with the market expanding at a rate of 15% per year. In FY23, the market was valued at USD 32.44 billion, according to the Indian Blue Book (IBB), and is projected to exceed USD 73 billion by 2028. This growth is largely driven by middle-income consumers who are increasingly interested in value-for-money products and better access to quality used cars. With CCI, BBT is aiming to expand its reach and cater to the evolving demands of both sellers and buyers.

Jatin Ahuja, Founder & CEO of Big Boy Toyz, noted that a significant percentage of BBT customers already purchase cars online without physically seeing them, making the launch of Cars.co.in a logical step forward. He highlighted that CCI offers a comprehensive service for both sellers and buyers, covering everything from lead management to deal closure, financing, insurance, logistics, and regulatory processes. The platform also provides optional extended warranties and after-sales service for buyers.

Kunal Maini, CEO of Cars.co.in, emphasized that the platform is designed to support individual car owners, used car dealers, and OEM dealerships in selling their vehicles. He pointed out that digital innovation will remain a key focus as CCI works to enhance the experience of selling luxury cars in India.

Cars.co.in has set a target of selling 400 luxury cars per month, aiming to bring more convenience and quality to the pre-owned luxury car market. It provides a straightforward and reliable experience for both buyers and sellers, positioning itself as a key player in India’s growing market for pre-owned luxury cars.
