AEIM Secures Land for Semiconductor Facility in Nava Raipur
Chennai-based firm to invest ₹10,000 crore in advanced materials plant with production starting mid-2026
Artificial Electronics Intelligent Materials Limited (AEIM) has been allocated 11.28 acres of industrial land in Kosala Industrial Park, Nava Raipur, marking a significant expansion for the semiconductor materials manufacturer.
The Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran (NRDA) granted the land allotment, with the project receiving support under Chhattisgarh's industrial policy, which provides capital subsidies of up to 40 percent.
Construction of the facility is set to begin immediately, utilizing post-tensioned slab technology that enables faster building cycles. The company expects to complete the first phase of its multi-storey complex by May 2026, with commercial production commencing in the third quarter of 2026.
AEIM has already ordered semiconductor manufacturing equipment from suppliers in Japan, South Korea, and the United States, with production of these systems aligned to the project schedule.
The ₹10,000-crore investment is projected to generate over 4,000 direct high-skill jobs in the region. Vishaal Nandam, Executive Director of AEIM, stated that the facility would help establish Raipur as a semiconductor hub while driving engineering talent development and economic growth.
Corporate Secretary Akila Suresh confirmed that the company has recruited a second cohort of engineers who will receive specialized training at AEIM's existing facilities in Chennai, Singapore, and Estonia. Additional recruitment phases are planned to support the expansion.
The Raipur facility will manufacture advanced semiconductor materials, including sapphire ingots and wafers, as well as next-generation electronic substrates. The project aligns with India's strategic objectives for technological self-reliance in the semiconductor sector.
AEIM operates as a specialist in semiconductor materials and advanced electronic components, with established research and development capabilities across its existing facilities.
