Tata Elxsi shows AI solutions for autonomous and connected cars at CES
The company is displaying its varied range of connected car solutions, the Autonomai autonomous vehicle platform and a virtual showroom too.
Tata Elxsi, the global design and technology services company, which is part of the over $100 billion Tata Group, displayed its latest innovations across technologies at CES 2018.
Tata Elxsi’s theme for this year is ‘AI + Design - Enabling the Driving Experience of the Future’. This brings together the company’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and analytics practice, an award-winning HMI and design team, and SPICE Level 5-certified automotive engineering to drive solutions for the autonomous and connected cars of the future.
The company’s Connected Car solutions showcase included the converged e-cockpit supporting multiple OS and displays, and solutions for Android O, Telematics, Software OTA and Security among others. It also had the self-driving solution 'Autonomai', an autonomous vehicle platform with deep learning and AI capabilities, which has been licensed to one of the world’s top five automotive OEMs for its driverless car R&D purposes.
According to Tata Elxsi, the Autonomai platform provides carmakers and Tier 1 automotive suppliers with a comprehensive and modular solution covering perception, GNC and drive-by-wire systems to quickly build, test and deploy autonomous vehicles. This solution supports sensor fusion with a variety of sensors from cameras to radar and lidar, and leverages sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning-based algorithms to deliver the complex use-case scenarios expected of driverless cars. Autonomai also allows rapid region-specific adaptation through its pre-integrated validation datasets and AI and deep learning capabilities.
Its lab-based virtual drive solution enables validation of autonomous vehicle algorithms, supporting a variety of sensor simulation. It also offers complete camera and sensor-based algorithm frameworks for ADAS and assisted driving use cases.
Tata Elxsi also presented cloud-based intelligent test automation solutions including continued integration and remote management. Its virtual showroom solution ensures a unique digital and user experience with augmented and virtual reality. Also on showcase was its latest AUTOSAR 4.2.x software stack, and EV solutions including battery and charging algorithms.
