Mercedes-Benz India expands dealer network in Kerala

Calicut becomes the 11th dealership as part of its '15 in 15' strategy of opening 15 new outlets in 2015.

Mercedes-Benz India today further expanded its dealer network expansion with the inauguration of a new dealership and a state-of-art service centre in Calicut. Bridgeway Motors outlets were inaugurated by Eberhard Kern, MD and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India; Boris Fitz, vice-president (Sales & Network Development), Mercedes-Benz India, along with Ajmal Abdul Wahab, MD, Bridgeway Motors.

Inaugurating the dealership, Eberhard Kern said: “We are extremely pleased to present two state-of-art facilities and strongly establish Mercedes-Benz in Northern Kerala. Through the showroom and service centre, we will be directly reaching out to our customers with our globally renowned product range, service offering and enthralling brand experience. This affluent NRI customer base of Calicut which has experienced luxury abroad, has been instrumental in driving demand in this region.”

He added: “2015 has been a remarkable year for us and we have been expanding into new as well as established markets pursuing our customer-centric approach, and this world-class luxury dealership in Calicut is a result of this. There is a burgeoning demand for luxury cars in Calicut and Mercedes-Benz aims to capitalise on this by offering a superlative product and service range.”

The 28,000 square foot Bridgeway Motors dealership has a 84-strong team of highly trained personnel to ensure on-time and efficient sales and services. The service facility has an impressive 28 servicing bays, capable of servicing around 6,000 cars per year.

With this new outlet, which is part of its ’15 in 15’ network strategy in India, Mercedes-Benz has opened five outlets in two days. With the Calicut facility, the luxury carmaker’s India network now stands augmented to 78 outlets across 39 cities.
