Mercedes-Benz opens 17th showroom in South India
With the new dealership in Mangalore, Mercedes-Benz India continues to have the largest network among luxury carmakers in India, spreading across 39 cities and 74 outlets.
Mercedes-Benz India has expanded its dealer footprint in the country by inaugurating a new dealership in Mangalore yesterday. The new dealership, Sundaram Motors, which is located at Summit, Airport Road, Marryhill, was inaugurated by Eberhard Kern, managing director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, and Sharath Vijayaraghavan, executive director, Sundaram Motors.
Speaking at the opening of the dealership in Mangalore, Eberhard Kern said: “Mercedes-Benz India has a strong customer-centric approach and the inauguration of this state-of-the-art new dealership in Mangalore underlines this commitment. The inauguration of Sundaram Motors Mangalore is part of our ’15 in 15’ strategy, where we plan to inaugurate 15 new outlets in 2015. Mangalore has been witnessing a steady growth in luxury cars and Mercedes-Benz’s presence in this emerging market will provide our discerning customers a luxury car destination. In our endeavour to move closer to our customers, both in metros as well in Tier 2 cities, our dealer partners play a very important role, by investing in such world-class facilities and services.”
Sundaram Motors, which is spread across 4,500 square feet, displays the latest range of Mercedes-Benz cars along with a premium experience of exclusive customer lounge, boutique and accessory display.
Sharath Vijayaraghavan, executive director, Sundaram Motors, said, “We are extremely delighted with our successful association with an iconic brand like Mercedes-Benz over the years. We have a strong presence in the southern market with outlets in Bangalore, Coimbatore, Madurai and now Mangalore.”
