Hyundai Motor India staffer tops World Service Advisor Championship
Rahul Krishna from Popular Hyundai, Kochi, beat 78 contestants from 58 countries to bag the gold medal.
In yet another indication of improving worker skills at automakers in the country, a Hyundai Motor India staffer has won the gold medal at the third World Service Advisor Championship, organised by Hyundai Motor Corporation at Seoul, South Korea, from October 11-14.
A total of 78 contestants representing 58 countries participated in the contest. Rahul Krishna from Popular Hyundai, Kochi and Ranjeeth Kumar from Trident Hyundai, Bangalore represented Hyundai Motor India in the contest held at Seoul.
While Rahul Krishna won the gold medal for being the ‘Best service advisor’ while Ranjeeth Kumar bagged the ‘Excellent Skill Award’.
The four-day event comprised a stringent and competitive written test and role play evaluation of the participants.
Commenting on the victory of the HMIL team, Y K Koo, MD and CEO, Hyundai Motor India, said: “Our participants displayed outstanding skills and consistent customer focus. We achieved this milestone for the first time in 2014. With this victory, we have ensured that history can be repeated with a customer-centric philosophy. This honour validates the strength of Hyundai Motor in aftersales service in India.”
