GM India Talegaon staffers undertake green CSR drive
GM India Talegaon employees organized a Cleanliness Drive at Primary School Navlakh Umbre.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, employees at General Motors India’s Talegaon manufacturing facility organized a cleanliness frive at a nearby school pledging for a cleaner country in accordance with the ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyaan’ (Clean India Campaign), initiated by prime minister Narendra Modi, and also to commemorate National Cleanliness Day.
The Talegaon employees undertook the initiative of cleaning the entire premises of Primary School, Navlakh Umbre. A session on the importance of National Cleanliness Day was also hosted for the children at the school to underline the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. As a part of the activity, a total of 65 kilograms of trash was disposed and dustbins were installed at various locations in the school premises. Posters and banners were also given to the school showcasing the cleanliness theme.
