The unit was inaugurated by Rahil Ansari, head - Dealer Development, Audi India and Gautam Garg, managing director, Audi Kanpur (Four Wheels Auto).

“The Northern region is a very important market for us as we have witnessed substantial sales volumes coming from this region. With the opening of this new showroom in Uttar Pradesh, we will be able to further strengthen our foothold in the region and capitalise on the growing demand for luxury automobiles. We are happy to have found the right partners in Four Wheels Auto. Their rich market experience in the state makes them the ideal partner for Audi in Uttar Pradesh,” said Michael Perschke, Head, Audi India.

Located in the heart of Kanpur city and spread over 4,000 square feet, Audi Kanpur has a display area that can accommodate five Audi cars. It will also house an Audi Shop and the Audi Exclusive elements, where customers can order customized products and purchase a variety of Audi-branded merchandise.

“At Audi Kanpur, we ensure that our customers are provided with a distinct luxury experience that the brand with the four rings is known for globally,” said Gautam Garg.

“To tap further into the underlying growth potential of the luxury automotive market of India, we have chalked out our dealer expansion strategy to reach the maximum number of potential buyers across the country. We have already expanded our base to 22 dealerships across the country. By the end of 2012, we will have at least 25 dealers pan-India. We are looking at expanding our footprint to Lucknow next,” said Perschke.
