The Wigo compact car, made by Daihatsu’s Indonesian subsidiary, PT Astra Daihatsu Motor, is sold in the Philippines under the Toyota brand by Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation.

Toyota has become the first automaker in the Philippines to hit the one-million units sales milestone. In April 2015, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) sold 9,467 units and with it crossed the landmark number.

Based on the most recent Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) report, Toyota has sold a total of 1,000,468 units since it started operations back in 1989.

Toyota, which is the largest brand in the Philippines, is one of the major players in local automotive manufacturing. More than 60% of the vehicles sold were made in the Philippines at the former Bicutan Plant and the Santa Rosa Plant in Laguna.

Of the locally made vehicles, the Toyota Revo and Innova together have sold 268,065 units, while the Corolla sold 213,325 units and the Vios sold 157,347 units.
