Tata Motors’ global sales up 16% in January 2016

Tata Motors’ global sales up 16% in January 2016

The Tata Motors Group global wholesales in January 2016, including Jaguar Land Rover, were at 93,355 units, up 16%, over January 2015. The cumulative wholesales for this fiscal were at 847,661 units, up 7% over the last fiscal. 

Also, the global wholesales of all Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range in January 2016 were 36,739 units, up 20% YoY. The cumulative commercial vehicles wholesales for this fiscal were higher by 1%, over the previous fiscal, at 310,224 units.

Further, the global wholesales of all passenger vehicles in January 2016 included 56,616 units, up 14%, compared to January 2015. The cumulative passenger vehicles wholesales for this fiscal at 537,437 units, was higher by 11%, over the last fiscal. 

However, the global wholesales of the company’s passenger vehicles in January 2016 were at 11,081 units, down 17%, over January 2015. Then again, the cumulative wholesales for the fiscal were at 110,244 units, higher by 2%, compared to the last fiscal. 

Meanwhile, the global wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover were 45,535 vehicles, which included Jaguar wholesales of 8,576 vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 78,489 vehicles. Land Rover wholesales for the month were 36,959 vehicles and cumulative wholesales were 348,704 vehicles. Cumulative wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal were 427,193 vehicles.
