EMC or Electromagnetic Compatibility compliance is an important aspect for today's automobiles from a road safety perspective as the electronics content in vehicles is rapidly increasing in areas such as powertrain, infotainment, chassis systems, as well as numerous safety-related functions.

Dassault Systemes, which is a leader in product design, and simulation software solutions, offers a high-performance 3D-EM analysis tool for designing, analysing and optimising electromagnetic components and systems with its CST Studio Suite. The webinar hosted in association with Autocar Professional aimed to  share knowledge on the various aspects of EMI-EMC compliance testing by virtue of simulations.

The hour-long session gives insights on:

  • Identification of potential compliance issues before prototyping
  • Shortening the design development cycle with respect to EMI-EMC issues
  • Understanding the EMC exposure at component and vehicle levels
  • Reducing costly on-road measurements by adopting virtual testing
