'People looking for e-motorcycles that can perform better than ICE': Dinesh Arjun

Chennai-based e-mobility startup, Raptee, which has introduced its maiden EV - Raptee T30 - in the market to compete against 250cc-300cc ICE motorcycles, is confident of a revolution in this category with its technology. It targets a 4-6% share of the mid-size motorcycle segment by CY2030.

"We are planning to give test rides to consumers alongside a conventional motorcycle and let them decide for themselves," Dinesh Arjun, Co-Founder and CEO, Raptee, tells Autocar Professional.

In this video, Arjun also reveals that people are looking forward to new electric motorcycles which can perform better than conventional ICE options, and hence, the company is strategically taking its communication away from the age-old premise of TCO, and environmental friendliness. "We are clear that an individual will buy into an EV if it is an upgrade to what they are already riding," he added.
