Exclusive: Tour of Mahindra's latest battery laboratory at MRV, Chennai

The homegrown automaker has set up a brand-new Electric Powertrain Development Center at its expansive R&D facility MRV in Chennai. The company plans to develop, test, and validate high-performance EV battery solutions at this state-of-the-art establishment.

With the accelerated pace of EV adoption in India, Mahindra & Mahindra is intensifying its efforts to develop breakthrough EV technology, including advanced batteries and propulsion systems. 

To augment its EV competencies, the company has set up an Electric Powertrain Development Center at the Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai, that is set to play a key role in the development and testing of batteries and EV powertrains.
