Chinese high-voltage connector specialist Yueqing Bada Photoelectric Technology has entered into a technical licence agreement (TLA) with EVDS TEC Pvt Ltd. to bring advanced high-voltage connector technology to the Indian market, as both companies seek to tap opportunities emerging from the country's accelerating electrification drive.

Under the agreement, EVDS TEC will gain access to Bada's high-voltage connector technology, engineering expertise and manufacturing know-how, enabling it to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities and enhance product quality for customers in the electric mobility, energy storage and industrial sectors.

The companies said the partnership aims to support the development of reliable, high-performance interconnection solutions while contributing to the broader localisation of next-generation electrification technologies in India.

The move comes as India continues to attract investments across the electric mobility value chain, with automakers and suppliers increasingly focusing on localisation of critical technologies and components. High-voltage connectors are key elements in electric vehicles, connecting battery packs, charging systems, power electronics and electric drivetrains.

"India is one of the most promising growth markets for electrification and advanced mobility solutions. We are delighted to partner with EVDS TEC Pvt Ltd. to share our technology and expertise while supporting local manufacturing and creating long-term value for customers in the region," said Liubinfeng, CEO of Yueqing Bada Photoelectric Technology.

He added that the collaboration would help introduce automotive high-voltage connector solutions tailored to the evolving requirements of electric vehicle manufacturers while strengthening the domestic supply chain and supporting India's transition towards sustainable mobility.

Bada's product portfolio includes high-voltage connectors, CCS2 and Type 2 charging inlets, battery disconnect units and power distribution units used in electric vehicle applications.

The agreement underscores the growing interest among global component suppliers in partnering with Indian manufacturers to localise critical EV technologies as the country's electric vehicle ecosystem expands and demand for advanced electrification solutions rises..
