Zoomcar and Uber have partnered to offer users a choice between self-drive vehicles and chauffeur-driven Intercity rides within the Zoomcar app. Under the integration, users searching for a self-drive vehicle on Zoomcar can also discover and book Uber Intercity rides.

The partnership covers select routes for one-way and round trips, allowing users to compare the two travel options in one place. The integration is currently live in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR and Mumbai, with plans to expand to more cities.

The companies said the arrangement is aimed at users who may choose between driving themselves and travelling with a driver depending on the journey. Zoomcar CEO Deepankar Tiwari said the integration allows users to make that choice without leaving the Zoomcar platform, while Uber India and South Asia Director of Consumer & Growth Rishant Ghosh said the partnership will make Uber Intercity available to more travellers.

Zoomcar app adds Uber Intercity booking options

Under the partnership, Zoomcar users looking for self-drive vehicles can access Uber Intercity as an alternative. The two options are presented as choices for different travel requirements, with users able to select between driving themselves and taking a chauffeur-driven ride.

The integration is available for select routes and supports both one-way and round trips. The companies said the same user may opt for a self-drive vehicle for one journey and a chauffeur-driven ride for another.

Uber Intercity integration live in three cities

The partnership has gone live in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR and Mumbai. Zoomcar said it plans to expand the integration to additional cities over time.

The companies have positioned the partnership around a broader shift towards access-based mobility, with users choosing on-demand transportation rather than vehicle ownership for certain journeys. Zoomcar provides self-drive car-sharing through its platform, while Uber offers chauffeur-driven Intercity rides.
