Zomato and Blinkit organized the second edition of EV Bazaar 2025 at NIMHANS Convention Center in Bengaluru on September 8, 2025, to accelerate electric vehicle adoption among their delivery partners. The event attracted over 1,000 delivery partners and featured participation from 18 EV manufacturers and service providers.
Karnataka Energy Minister K.J. George served as chief guest, while Indian cricket team player Prasidh Krishna attended as guest of honor. The event built on the first EV Bazaar held in New Delhi last year.
EV manufacturers including BGauss, Hero Motocorp, TVS Motors, Bajaj, Bounce Infinity, Ampere, Motobolt Mobility and Quantum participated alongside specialized partners like EMO Energy. Financial service providers such as Stride Green and charging infrastructure companies Kazam and Indofast Energy also took part.
"EVs represent the future of mobility in our country—not only by shielding gig workers from rising fuel costs but also by helping combat air pollution," George said. "Karnataka has been at the forefront of EV adoption, with progressive policies and over 5,700 charging stations. I'm proud to see EV Bazaar taking place in Bengaluru. Initiatives like this play a vital role in raising awareness among delivery partners across the state. I commend Zomato and Blinkit for their efforts to educate partners and expand access to EVs, paving the way for a more sustainable future."
The companies conducted a comprehensive EV Survey 2025 covering over 2,300 delivery partners. Results showed 71% of partners willing to switch to EVs, primarily motivated by lower running costs (72%) and environmental benefits (61%). However, concerns about vehicle range (61%) and charging infrastructure availability (51%) remain key barriers.

We're grateful to OEM, EV rental, EV financing and charging infrastructure companies who have come forward to fulfil the growing enthusiasm for EV adoption among delivery partners."
Four top-performing EV-based delivery partners received free electric bikes from EMO Energy, Motovolt Mobility, Quantum Energy and BGauss during the event.
As of March 2025, Zomato and Blinkit have over 51,000 EV-based delivery partners. In fiscal year 2025, EVs on their platforms covered over 150 million clean kilometers. The companies offer a 'Rent an EV' feature through 40+ collaborations, allowing partners to rent vehicles and locate charging points through their apps.
