Zenergize Technologies Raises $4 Million in Pre-Series A Round
The Bengaluru-based power electronics startup, which reached a ₹30 crore annual revenue run rate within a year of commercialisation, will use the funds to expand manufacturing capacity and R&D.
Zenergize Technologies, a deep-tech company developing Silicon Carbide (SiC)-based power electronics, has closed a USD 4 million Pre-Series A funding round comprising equity and venture debt. The round was led by Giraffe Studios, with participation from a group of industrial entrepreneurs and angel investors.
The company reported an annual revenue run rate of ₹30 crore and an order book exceeding ₹150 crore at the time of the raise, reached within a year of commercial operations. Zenergize said it aims to scale its annual revenue run rate to over ₹100 crore using the fresh capital.
Who Backed Zenergize's $4 Million Funding Round
The investor group includes Nikhil Sawhney of Triveni Turbine Limited, Varun Agarwal of Ellenbarrie Industrial Gases, Shyam Bagri of Bagrry's Holdings, Raoul Bajaj of Trafigura, angel investor Sunil Kalra, Ajith Pai and Sandeep Barasia (both formerly of Delhivery), Nitin Jain of Neo Group, and Hemant Daga of Neo Bank, along with existing investors. Giraffe Studios increased its stake from a prior round.
How Zenergize Will Deploy the New Funding
Zenergize said the funds will be directed primarily towards expanding manufacturing capacity, growing its sales and service network across India, and accelerating research and development to serve enterprise and OEM customers.
Inside Zenergize's SiC-Based Charger and Solar Inverter Lineup
The company claims to have built India's first indigenous SiC-based DC fast charger and solar inverter platforms. Its product portfolio currently includes solar inverters and AC and DC EV chargers with capacity up to 240 kW, with automotive certifications for its chargers and BIS certification for its solar inverters. Hybrid inverters and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are listed as under development.
Zenergize and Giraffe Studios on the Funding Round
Navneet Daga, Co-founder and CEO of Zenergize Technologies, said the company's next phase would focus on manufacturing scale, engineering capability, and customer partnerships. CTO Dr. Veer Karan Goyal noted that the company's products are engineered for Indian grid conditions and operating environments, and that Silicon Carbide technology enables both efficiency gains and cost competitiveness.
Himanshu Aggarwal, Co-founder of Giraffe Studios, said the investment reflected the fund's focus on deep-tech companies building core technology that addresses gaps in large markets.
Why Silicon Carbide Is Reshaping EV and Solar Power Electronics
Silicon Carbide is a semiconductor material that enables higher efficiency and power density compared to conventional silicon-based components, and has seen growing adoption in EV powertrains, solar inverters, and industrial power systems globally. The global power electronics market is undergoing a broader transition towards SiC and other wide-bandgap semiconductors, driven by the growth of renewable energy and electric mobility. Zenergize was founded by IIT and IIM alumni and operates a pan-India service network for installation and after-sales support.
