Zenergize, an India-based power-electronics product company, has entered into a technology partnership with Infineon Technologies to integrate advanced semiconductor components into its product portfolio for solar and distributed energy applications.

Under the agreement, Zenergize will incorporate Infineon’s silicon carbide (SiC) power devices into its systems, along with technical and application-level support. The collaboration is aimed at improving efficiency, reliability, and operating life of power-electronics solutions, particularly for solar inverters, energy-storage systems, and grid-connected equipment.

The partnership comes amid expanding renewable-energy deployment in India, supported by government initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and increasing adoption of distributed solar and storage solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial segments.

SiC-based semiconductor technology enables higher efficiency, lower power losses, and more compact system design compared to conventional materials. By integrating these components, Zenergize aims to develop systems suited to Indian operating conditions, including high temperatures, voltage fluctuations, and space constraints.

The collaboration will also involve Infineon supplying semiconductor components and offering technical guidance to support system-level optimisation, helping reduce development timelines and improve time-to-market.

Veer Karan Goyal, Founder and CTO of Zenergize, said the partnership provides access to semiconductor technology and technical expertise while allowing the company to continue designing and manufacturing products in India. He added that operational data across its platforms will remain hosted within the country.

Jens Reinstaedt, Vice President Application Management Industrial & Infrastructure at Infineon, said the company aims to support India’s energy transition through its semiconductor technologies, including silicon, silicon carbide, and gallium nitride solutions.

The partnership is expected to strengthen Zenergize’s domestic manufacturing capabilities in power electronics and support its plans for future expansion into global markets.

Infineon Technologies AG, headquartered in Germany, reported revenue of approximately €14.7 billion in FY2025 and employs around 57,000 people globally. Zenergize focuses on developing locally manufactured power-electronics solutions for renewable energy and electric mobility, supported by in-house research and development.
