Yulu has expanded its footprint in central India with the launch of its franchisee-led electric mobility service in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, under the Yulu Business Partner (YBP) initiative. The rollout is being executed by Tezz Mobility, a local partner led by entrepreneurs Dharamveer Singh Bhadoriya and Siddharth Jain.

The Bhopal entry marks the company’s ninth partner-led deployment, following similar launches in cities including Indore, Kochi, Madurai, Vadodara, Kolkata, Chandigarh Tri-city and Coimbatore.

The company’s expansion into Bhopal comes amid rising demand for last-mile delivery solutions driven by growth in quick commerce, food delivery and e-commerce. However, the market remains largely dependent on internal combustion engine two-wheelers, with limited access to rental or pay-per-use EV options and constrained charging infrastructure.

Yulu’s model in the city combines purpose-built electric two-wheelers, battery-swapping infrastructure and technology-enabled fleet management. The deployment includes a network of designated parking zones, a central operations and service hub, and a battery-swapping ecosystem supported by Yuma Energy.

In the initial phase, operations will be concentrated in high-demand delivery areas such as Shahpura, with planned expansion to locations including Hoshangabad Road, New Market, TT Nagar, Kolar Road and Habibganj.

According to the company, Bhopal’s delivery ecosystem—supported by over 45 dark stores and growing gig workforce demand—presents capacity for several thousand delivery riders. The deployment aims to provide an alternative to ownership-based models by enabling access to shared EVs for delivery partners.

Tezz Mobility will be responsible for local operations, including execution, staffing and scaling of the fleet. The partner plans to expand the deployment to over 1,000 EVs in Bhopal and nearby regions over the next two to three years.
