Yulu has launched its electric mobility service for delivery partners in Nashik, Maharashtra, under its Yulu Business Partner (YBP) vertical. The company has partnered with Approach Auto Mobility for the rollout, which will initially cover Rajiv Nagar before expanding across the city and surrounding areas based on demand.
Operations will begin with 100 DeX electric two-wheelers operating from a Yulu Centre in Rajiv Nagar. The launch makes Nashik Yulu’s second market in Maharashtra after Mumbai and its ninth franchise-led operation launched over the past two years.
Nashik is Yulu’s 13th city of operation, including its directly operated metropolitan markets of Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR and Hyderabad. Its other franchise-led operations include Indore, Bhopal, Kochi, Tirunelveli, Madurai, Coimbatore, Kolkata and Chandigarh Tricity.
Yulu Targets Nashik’s Growing Delivery Market
According to Yulu, Nashik has more than 25 operational dark stores and 1,500 high-volume restaurants. City-wide deliveries have doubled over the past year to around 25,000 a day, creating demand for vehicles used in quick-commerce and food-delivery operations.
Yulu’s service is aimed at delivery partners seeking to manage vehicle financing, fuel and maintenance costs. Its offering includes electric two-wheelers, battery swapping through Yuma Energy, and pricing plans that include energy, maintenance and insurance.
The company claims delivery partners using its EVs can retain 30–40% more earnings than petrol motorcycle users. This is a company-reported comparison; the press release does not provide the methodology or underlying cost assumptions.
Yulu Partners Approach Auto Mobility for Expansion
The Nashik rollout is being undertaken with Approach Auto Mobility, led by entrepreneur Jai Dhanani. Approach Auto Mobility is involved in EV charging solutions, ride-sharing operations and battery-swapping franchises, including an existing battery-swapping partnership with Yuma Energy.
Yulu co-founder and CEO Amit Gupta said the company is expanding its franchise-led model into non-metro markets as quick-commerce and on-demand delivery services grow. The partnership with Approach Auto Mobility will support the rollout of an EV-based delivery service in Nashik.
Jai Dhanani said the partnership would focus on lowering delivery partners’ operating costs and providing a fleet for businesses requiring delivery services.
The companies plan to expand the service beyond Rajiv Nagar into Nashik city and nearby areas as demand develops.
