In a bold departure from conventional launches, Classic Legends unveiled the 2025 Yezdi Roadster with a defiant message: "Born Out of Line." The motorcycle, priced between Rs 2,09,969 and Rs 2,25,969, disrupts the segment with an industry-first modular seating system and over 50 factory-backed customization combinations.
"The Yezdi Roadster is a wolf in wolf's clothing," declared Anupam Thareja, Co-founder of Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles, setting the tone for what's positioned as a rebel's machine. "The cool dads and lads rode on real roads, on a real bike and created real stories. Their first job, first fall, first love was all on a Yezdi."
The Customization Revolution
Breaking category norms, the Roadster offers six factory-custom kits that transform the motorcycle's personality at will. Riders can switch from a minimalist bobber-style solo seat to a touring-friendly dual setup in minutes – a segment-first innovation. The premium Shadow Black variant (Rs 2,25,969) takes it further with multi-functional blinkers that double as taillights, while other variants offer distinct personalities from Sharkskin Blue's vibrancy to Bloodrush Maroon's heritage appeal.
The Faravahar insignia on the tank and behind the single seat celebrates Yezdi's Parsi heritage, adding an authentic luxury touch that sets it apart from generic customization attempts.
Tech Meets Rebellion
Beneath the defiant design beats the new 350 Alpha2 liquid-cooled engine (29PS, 30Nm) paired with a segment-first six-speed gearbox and assist & slipper clutch. The Roadster doesn't compromise on premium components either – Brembo brakes (320mm front, 240mm rear), Continental dual-channel ABS, and full LED lighting come standard.
The Comeback Context
The launch gains significance against the backdrop of challenges the brand overcame. Co-founder Thareja candidly admitted the brand faced orchestrated bot attacks targeting its reputation, while Boman Irani cited COVID-19's impact. Yet, with Anand Mahindra's unwavering support – "Can't manufacture authenticity overnight. Yezdi is an icon that hasn't gone out of fashion" – the brand is aggressively expanding.
Classic Legends announced it will reach 450 outlets by Diwali (from 350 currently) and aims to double sales to 64,000 units in FY26. The Roadster comes with a 4-year/50,000km warranty and 5-year maintenance plan, backing its rebel stance with solid ownership assurance.
