Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has earned recognition for its corporate transparency and performance in addressing climate change, achieving a position on the A List for 2023 by global environmental non-profit CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project). This marks the first time Yamaha Motor has attained an ‘A’ score from the esteemed organisation.
CDP, an international non-profit organisation, operates the world’s foremost environmental disclosure system for companies, municipalities, and other entities. CDP scores play a pivotal role in guiding investment and procurement decisions toward fostering a more sustainable and resilient net-zero economy.
In 2023, 23,000 companies, including 1,985 Japanese firms, responded to information requests from financial institutions, procurement entities, and organisations through CDP, disclosing data pertaining to climate change, forests, and water security.
Out of these, Yamaha Motor emerged as one of only 346 companies, including 109 Japanese firms, to receive an ‘A’ score for its transparency regarding climate change.
Yamaha Motor Company has set carbon neutrality as a goal in the Yamaha Motor Group Environmental Plan 2050.
