Yamaha launches Aerox Version S at Rs 1.51 lakh

Yamaha has launched the Aerox Version S at Rs 1,50,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and this variant gets keyless ignition.

Yamaha Aerox S keyless ignition, mileage, colours

The Yamaha Aerox Version S is one of just a handul of scooters that gets keyless ignition at this price point, the others being Honda scooter line-up's H Smart variants. With the key fob, you can locate it by pressing a button, which will flash the scooter’s indicators and emit a chirping sound. The key slot on the standard Aerox has been replaced by a knob on the Aerox Version S, which can be turned to the requisite position depending on whether the scooter is being turned on/off. There are dedicated buttons next to the knob to open the fuel cap or if you need to access the underseat storage area.

The Aerox Version S costs Rs 3,000 more than the regular scooter and can only be had in the Silver or Racing Blue paint schemes. In fact, it is the most expensive scooter available in a Yamaha showroom today, costing Rs 1,500 more than the MotoGP colour scheme

Since the Aerox Version S remains mechanically identical to the base Aerox, it should ride and handle exactly the same. In our testing, the Aerox 155 returned 50.3kpl in the city and 57.2kpl on the highway, impressive numbers for an engine of this capacity.
