India Yamaha Motor has expanded its domestic electric portfolio with the official launch of the Aerox E, a high-performance electric scooter. Developed in India, the newly introduced model will retail at an ex-showroom price of ₹2.81 lakh in Delhi, with commercial availability restricted to select urban centers through the manufacturer's specialized Blue Square retail outlets.

The vehicle utilizes a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor capable of producing 9.4 kW of peak power and 48 Nm of torque, which allows the platform to achieve a claimed maximum speed of 95.5 km/h. Power delivery is managed via dual removable batteries, with each pack carrying a capacity of 1.5 kWh and 30Ah. According to the company's technical logs, a full recharge sequence requires approximately 3 hours and 10 minutes per battery pack, providing a certified riding range of 117 kilometers under standard test conditions.

The electronic system supports three separate riding profiles, designated as Eco, Standard, and Power, along with an integrated reverse gear and a temporary acceleration boost function. The battery assemblies are backed by a standard manufacturer warranty covering a duration of 3 years or 30,000 kilometers.

In terms of mechanical and electronic safety components, the chassis features front and rear disc brakes coupled with single-channel anti-lock braking and an integrated traction control system. Styling cues maintain the maxi-scooter proportions of the internal combustion engine Aerox lineup.

Instrumentation on the dashboard is centered around a 5-inch colored thin-film transistor display configured to support turn-by-turn navigation updates. The platform also features cellular connectivity via the brand's proprietary Y-Connect mobile application, which allows operators to track vehicle maintenance schedules, look up the last parked location of the scooter, and access automated diagnostic logs. Additional equipment includes an external battery charging port layout and a passive smart key entry system.
