India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has constructed a 12-classroom school building for Government High School Thirukallimedu in Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives. The facility includes classrooms, a kitchen, restrooms, a computer lab, and a 10KW solar power system, enhancing infrastructure for students.

The newly built two-story structure, with six classrooms on each floor, marks Yamaha's largest school construction under its CSR program. The facility also incorporates rainwater harvesting structures, an RCC water storage sump, and 550-meter boundary walls for security.

This is the fourth school constructed by Yamaha in the Kancheepuram and Tiruvannamalai districts over the past four years. Additionally, Yamaha previously established computer labs in five government schools in Kancheepuram in 2024.

The school inauguration was attended by government officials, including Kancheepuram MLA C.V.M.P. Ezhilarasan, Mayor M. Mahalakshmi, Deputy Mayor R. Kumaragurunathan, and senior Yamaha executives. Students and parents welcomed the new infrastructure, with Yamaha distributing school bags and stationery kits to all students.

Yamaha has partnered with Namma School Namma Ooru Palli, a Tamil Nadu government initiative aimed at strengthening basic education in government schools.
