Wardwizard Innovations partners with C4V to improve EV battery technology

Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited, a manufacturer of electric vehicles under the brands ’Joy e-bike’ and ‘Joy e-rik’, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with C4V, a New York-based company specializing in lithium-ion battery technology. The partnership focuses on advancing battery technology to enhance the performance of electric vehicles in line with India’s green mobility goals.

The collaboration aims to develop advanced battery cells tailored to meet the specific performance needs of Wardwizard’s electric vehicles, including high-speed scooters and three-wheelers. C4V brings expertise in high-charging cycle battery pack architecture, optimized chemical combinations, and stable Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries designed for India’s climatic conditions.

Under the agreement, both companies will work on defining product specifications, developing prototypes, and conducting thorough testing to ensure performance and reliability. The partnership also emphasizes localizing manufacturing in India, contributing to the ‘Make in India’ initiative and promoting sustainable energy solutions.

Yatin Gupte, Chairman & Managing Director of Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited, highlighted the importance of the collaboration in advancing EV technology and supporting India’s green mobility goals. He stated that the partnership aligns with the company’s focus on localization and technological advancement in the electric vehicle sector.

Dr. Shailesh Upreti, CEO of C4V, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership and the opportunity it provides to bring advanced battery technology to India. He also noted the potential to establish supply agreements in India and other regions through the collaboration with Wardwizard.

This partnership aims to position Wardwizard Innovations and C4V as contributors to the development of advanced EV batteries, with plans to localize production in India and cater to global markets. The companies intend to use their combined expertise to promote the adoption of electric mobility and support sustainable energy initiatives.
