Wardwizard Innovations Deploys 400 Electric Two-Wheelers Across Three Indian Cities
Indian EV manufacturer expands fleet operations in partnership with SpeedForcEV, AmpVolts and Cabeys to enhance last-mile delivery and ride-hailing services.
Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited announced the deployment of 400 electric two-wheelers across Kolkata, Pune, and Ahmedabad on Thursday, expanding its fleet operations following a successful initial deployment in Hyderabad.
The company, which manufactures vehicles under the brands 'Joy e-bike' and 'Joy e-rik', has partnered with SpeedForcEV to provide technology-driven solutions for delivery partners and fleet operators in the Quick Commerce and E-Commerce sectors.
This expansion follows the deployment of 100 electric two-wheelers in Hyderabad, which according to the company, demonstrated high vehicle uptime and improved operational efficiency for delivery partners.
Beyond two-wheelers, Wardwizard plans to enter the ride-hailing sector by deploying 200 L5 passenger electric three-wheelers in Maharashtra in collaboration with SpeedForcEV and Cabeys, a ride-hailing platform. The company aims to deploy 5,000 such vehicles across various Indian states in the 2025-26 financial year.
The company has also partnered with AmpVolts to strengthen EV charging infrastructure for its fleet operations. Yatin Gupte, Chairman & Managing Director of Wardwizard, stated that the company's integrated fleet solutions have proven efficient and reliable, with features like long-range batteries and seamless charging making their vehicles suitable for last-mile mobility.
Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited, established as one of India's EV manufacturers, was the first listed entity on BSE in the Electric Vehicle manufacturing segment. The company currently offers more than 10 models across high and low-speed categories and has established a presence in over 400 cities in India.
The Indian electric vehicle market has been growing steadily in recent years, driven by government initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and decrease dependence on fossil fuels. The expansion of fleet operations by companies like Wardwizard represents a growing trend of EV adoption in commercial transportation, particularly in the last-mile delivery segment that has seen significant growth with the rise of e-commerce and quick commerce services.
