Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) India has showcased a groundbreaking array of electric machines at Excon 2023, South Asia's premier Construction Equipment event, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability. Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways, officially launched Volvo CE’s lineup of new product range at EXCON 2023.

The company displayed India's first grid-connected electric excavator, the EC500 Electric, a pioneering step towards zero-emission mining and construction machinery. The exhibit also featured the L120 Electric Wheel Loader for customer trials, promising no tailpipe emissions and a more comfortable work environment. The EC80 Electric, a near-production prototype with 6-8 hours of autonomy, and India-developed electric compactors, DD40 and PT220, were also showcased.

In addition to electric innovation, Volvo CE India highlighted its commitment to customer success through new-age service solutions. The Equipment-as-a-Service (EaaS) business model, bundled with efficiency measures, aims to make the transition to electric machines easier by eliminating concerns about capital costs, manpower, and technology updates. The company also offers productivity and uptime services, including operator simulators, smart assist solutions, and real-time tech support.
