Volvo Car India reveals C40 Recharge EV

The introduction of C40 Recharge is in line with the company’s goal of having 100 percent electrified vehicles in the portfolio by 2030.

Volvo Car India has revealed its Born Electric SUV, the C40 Recharge, marking the company’s second electric car after the XC40 Recharge, which made its India debut last year. The new C40 Recharge is built on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform. The C40 Recharge has a range of up to 530 km per charge, and its interiors are 100% leather-free.

The price announcement is scheduled in August, and deliveries will start from September this year, the company said in a press release.

“This car represents the future of mobility, combining innovative design, and advanced electric technology," said Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director, Volvo Car India, adding that the 100% leather-free electric crossover sets a new standard for sustainable luxury.

In addition to the XC40 Recharge, the C40 Recharge launch bolsters Volvo's commitment to the electrification of its entire product line-up, and is in line with its goal of having 100% electrified vehicles in the portfolio by 2030.
