VinFast VF 6, VF 7 price announcement on September 6
Vinast India SUV Deliveries are expected to start by mid-September.
Vietnamese EV-only carmaker VinFast will officially enter the Indian market on September 6, 2025, with the launch of its first two models – the VF 6 and VF 7. Both SUVs will be locally assembled at the company’s new facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, where the VF 7 recently became the first vehicle to roll off the production line.
The VinFast VF 6 is likely to be the entry level model with prices expected to start around Rs 20 lakh. It will go on sale with a 59.6 kWh battery, 204 hp front-mounted motor. Vinfast VF6 Range which is WLTP-rated is 480 km (ARAI/MIDC figure awaited). The VF6 will is expected to rival the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV
The VF7 will be the most expensive Vinfast model on sale in India at launch with prices expected to start around Rs 25 lakh. It is the VF 7 is a larger, more premium SUV with the option of dual-motor all-wheel drive, giving it a significant performance edge in its class.
Expect deliveries of first set of Vinfast models to commence by mid September this year.
