Vinfast to Price Fleet-Focused Limo Green Below MPV7; Flags Future Fleet Play
VinFast India CEO Tapan Ghosh says the Limo Green will be ARAI-certified for fleet use and hints at a Vingroup-backed mobility business that could enter India later.
VinFast is sharpening its India strategy for commercial electric mobility with the upcoming Limo Green, which will be priced below the recently launched MPV7 and positioned exclusively for fleet operators.
VinFast India CEO Tapan Ghosh confirmed that the Limo Green, built on the same platform as the MPV7, will come at a lower price point owing to its fleet-focused positioning.
“It will be priced lower than the MPV7,” Ghosh said, adding that the model has been developed with a distinct identity for commercial applications.
ARAI-certified, fleet-first positioning
Ghosh said the Limo Green will be ARAI-certified, underlining its readiness for commercial deployment, particularly in taxi and mobility fleet operations.
“It is meant for fleets. It has a different identity altogether,” he said.
While the MPV7 is targeted purely at personal buyers with a premium positioning, the Limo Green is expected to adopt a more cost-efficient, operationally optimised configuration, aligned with fleet requirements.
Dealer-led sales, broader mobility ambitions
Initially, VinFast will route Limo Green sales through its dealer network, with dealers catering directly to taxi operators and fleet buyers.
However, Ghosh also pointed to a broader ecosystem play under the parent group.
“There is a company called GSM, which is part of the Vingroup ecosystem. They have their own plans, which will be announced later,” he said, indicating that a group-backed fleet or mobility platform could eventually enter India.
Imminent rollout
VinFast has already begun dispatching Limo Green units to dealerships, with sales expected to begin within weeks.
The move marks VinFast’s entry into the fleet EV MPV space, a segment currently dominated by internal combustion models but seen as a key driver for EV adoption going forward.
