VinFast retains leadership in Vietnam’s EV market with over 51,000 units sold in 2024

VinFast has delivered over 11,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in October, bringing its total sales for 2024 to more than 51,000 EVs. This performance has positioned VinFast as the top-selling automotive brand in Vietnam for both October and the first ten months of the year. The company remains confident in its ability to sustain its leadership position in the domestic market and contribute to Vietnam’s green transition in transportation.

In October, VinFast continued its strong performance, with over 11,000 EVs delivered, marking a 21% increase compared to the previous month. The VF 3 and VF 5 models were the highest sellers, with nearly 5,000 and over 2,600 units sold, respectively.

Since the beginning of the year, the company has delivered over 51,000 EVs in Vietnam. With a large number of pre-orders, expanding production capacity, and a growing network of dealerships and charging stations, VinFast is positioned to maintain its leading market share and further increase its gap over competitors.

VinFast’s achievement of becoming the best-selling automotive brand in its home market is notable, as it managed to surpass foreign competitors in just over five years. Additionally, it is the first electric vehicle brand to lead the market, surpassing gasoline-powered vehicles within two years of transitioning to an all-electric lineup.

This growth reflects strong consumer support for VinFast’s eco-friendly vehicles and highlights Vietnam’s capability in the high-tech sector. The company’s success positions Vietnam as one of the few countries where a domestic EV brand leads the automotive market.

Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup and CEO of VinFast Global, acknowledged the support of VinFast’s customers, stating that their feedback has played a crucial role in improving the company’s products and services. He reiterated the company's commitment to continuous improvement in both product quality and customer satisfaction.

VinFast currently offers seven electric vehicle models in Vietnam, ranging from mini-SUVs to E-SUVs, with competitive pricing that appeals to a wide range of customers. The company is also expanding its presence internationally to contribute to the global shift toward electric mobility.
