VinFast announced on March 28, 2026 that it completed 3,520 electric vehicle orders in a single day, a figure the company describes as a new daily order-processing record for Vietnam's automotive industry. The rate translates to roughly 146 orders per hour, or approximately 2.4 orders every minute.

The company stated that all vehicles covered by those orders have been fully processed and are ready to leave its manufacturing facility. Delivery to customers is scheduled to proceed through VinFast's dealer network.

For context, 3,520 units in a day exceeds the monthly sales volumes reported by a number of automakers currently operating in the Vietnamese market. VinFast has held the top position in Vietnam's overall automotive sales rankings since 2024. In 2025, it delivered a total of 175,099 vehicles; in December of that year alone, the company sold 27,649 units — another milestone the company described as a record for monthly sales by a single brand.

Infrastructure Expansion Underpins Growth

Industry observers attribute part of VinFast's sustained sales momentum to its investment in charging infrastructure. V-Green, the company's global charging infrastructure partner, has planned approximately 150,000 charging ports across 34 provinces and cities in Vietnam. The company is also preparing to deploy 99 ultra-fast charging hubs equipped with 150 kW chargers along major national and provincial highways.

A network of more than 400 service workshops also supports the company's after-sales operations. Transportation planning expert Dr. Lê Hoàng Nam said that when the full ownership ecosystem — including products, charging access and servicing — is developed systematically, consumers are more likely to transition to electric vehicles. He also cited broader environmental benefits, including reduced emissions and decreased reliance on fossil fuels.

Reactions across Vietnamese online forums were broadly positive. One commenter noted that processing over 3,500 orders on a weekend indicated substantial operational capacity across VinFast's production and logistics teams. Others pointed to fuel price volatility as a factor driving interest in electric alternatives, describing the shift as part of a broader and, in their view, inevitable trend toward cleaner transportation.

VinFast has not published a formal forecast for full-year 2026 sales volumes, but analysts observing the company's recent trajectory suggest further records are possible if current demand patterns hold.
