VinFast Auto India has opened its largest showroom in the country, situated in Teynampet, Chennai. This is the company’s first dealership in Tamil Nadu and is part of a broader plan to expand its presence across India’s electric vehicle (EV) market.

The 4,700 sq. ft facility is operated in partnership with Maansarovar Motors and will showcase VinFast’s electric SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7. It is the first of 35 showrooms the company intends to open across 27 cities by the end of 2025.

Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, said the choice of Chennai was influenced by the city’s infrastructure, skilled workforce, and industrial base. “With this dealership, we aim to bring our electric mobility solutions closer to customers in Tamil Nadu,” he said during the launch.

VinFast began accepting pre-bookings for the VF 6 and VF 7 models on July 15. Customers can place a fully refundable booking of ₹21,000 either at the dealership or on the company’s website, VinFastAuto.in.

The company has also established partnerships with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure for nationwide charging infrastructure and after-sales services. In addition, VinFast has teamed up with BatX Energies to support battery recycling initiatives as part of its sustainability goals.

VinFast, a subsidiary of Vietnam’s Vingroup JSC, is pursuing global expansion with a focus on North America, Europe, and Asia. Its product lineup includes electric SUVs, e-scooters, and e-buses.
