VIDA, the electric mobility brand of Hero MotoCorp, launched the VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition scooter on March 25, 2026, at the Knights Unplugged 3.0 event in New Delhi. The scooter was unveiled in the presence of the full KKR squad and is now available for purchase at select VIDA outlets across the country.

The vehicle is finished in Knight Purple and Gold, KKR's team colours, with a golden halftone gradient and micro-dotted pattern layered over a pearl black base. Three accent marks on the body reference KKR's three IPL championship titles, won in 2012, 2014, and 2024. The scooter retains the VX2 Plus's standard design language — clean body panels and a modern silhouette — with the team-specific visual elements integrated into the existing form. Lighting features include a distinctive LED headlamp with integrated indicators and LED daytime running lights at the front and rear. A limited-edition KKR helmet, designed in the same colour scheme, is also available alongside the scooter.

Alongside the product launch, VIDA introduced the "Electrifying Player of the Match" initiative. For every match won by KKR during the IPL season, one player — selected by the team management — will receive a personalised VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition. Each unit will carry the recipient player's name and jersey number, and will be presented at a post-match handover ceremony. The initiative ties product distribution directly to on-field performance, giving the collaboration a recurring presence through the tournament.

Kausalya Nandakumar, Chief Business Officer at VIDA, described the collaboration as an extension of Hero MotoCorp's broader approach of pairing product design with culturally relevant partnerships. She noted that the initiative was intended to strengthen the brand's presence during the T20 season while reinforcing its focus on sustainable mobility.

Venky Mysore, CEO of Kolkata Knight Riders, said the partnership was built around the principle of creating genuine value rather than mere visibility. He described the VX2 Plus KKR Limited Edition as a way to extend the KKR experience beyond the cricket ground, bringing together electric mobility and the identity of the franchise into a single product offering.

The launch marks one of the more structured sports-brand tie-ups in the Indian electric two-wheeler segment, where manufacturers have increasingly sought association with high-visibility sporting properties to drive consumer awareness. Rather than a standalone co-branded product, the VIDA-KKR collaboration incorporates a performance-linked award mechanism that keeps the partnership active and visible through each match week of the IPL season.

Hero MotoCorp is the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, a position it has held for 25 consecutive years. The company reports revenues of approximately $5 billion and has a customer base of over 125 million across 52 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. It operates eight manufacturing facilities — six in India and one each in Colombia and Bangladesh — along with two research and development centres. Beyond VIDA, Hero MotoCorp has made strategic investments in electric vehicle manufacturers Ather Energy and Euler Motors, and holds alliances with Harley-Davidson and Zero Motorcycles for premium and electric motorcycle development. The company is also the only Indian two-wheeler manufacturer listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.

KKR, one of the IPL's founding franchises, has won the tournament three times and appeared in four finals. The Knight Riders group operates teams across four T20 leagues globally — the IPL, the Caribbean Premier League through Trinbago Knight Riders, the UAE's International League T20 through Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, and the US's Major League Cricket through Los Angeles Knight Riders — making it one of the more expansive franchise cricket brands in the world.
