Manufacturing as a Service (MaaS) company Venttup has announced the appointment of Prashanth R. Menon as Strategic Advisor. In this capacity, Menon is expected to contribute to the company's scale-up strategy, global expansion plans, and long-term growth roadmap, with a focus on profitability.

Menon brings more than two decades of experience in strategy, operations, and business transformation across global markets. Most recently, he served as Director, India at Tesla, where he was responsible for shaping Tesla's entry strategy into the Indian market and overseeing the establishment of its operations across multiple business verticals. He also held the position of Chairman of the Board for Tesla India.

Prior to his role in India, Menon served as Director, Advisory at Tesla US, where he led global teams working on revenue enhancement, productivity improvements, and cost optimization, along with large-scale transformation and restructuring initiatives across geographies.

Earlier in his career, Menon was associated with EY, where he advised senior corporate executives on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, operational integration, supply chain management, and working capital optimization.

In his new role at Venttup, Menon is expected to work alongside the company's founders and leadership team on strategic growth planning, global market expansion, operational scalability, investor engagement, and the development of strategic partnerships.

Venttup co-founder and CEO Sandeep Nair noted that Menon's experience in scaling global organizations and leading strategic transformation initiatives aligned with the company's objectives of building a globally competitive manufacturing startup from India.

Menon, commenting on his appointment, expressed interest in Venttup's business model and its alignment with the Government of India's "Make in India" initiative. He indicated his intent to guide the leadership team toward its growth and operational goals.
