Eicher Engineering Components (EEC), a part of Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) recorded its highest-ever annual revenue in FY26 at Rs 2,702.7 crore (including captive sales), registering a robust 34% year-on-year growth.
During the fiscal year, EEC completed a new axle and transmission assembly line for the newly launched Eicher Pro X range in just eight months at its Dewas facility. This flexible line is designed to handle multiple variant combinations, highlighting the system's manufacturing agility.
VECV Crosses 1 Lakh Vehicle Sales Milestone
This breakthrough occurred against a record year for parent entity VECV. According to Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) filings sourced via Tracxn, VECV crossed the landmark 100,000 annual vehicle sales milestone for the first time, delivering 103,404 trucks and buses, a 14.7% volume growth that outpaced the domestic industry’s 13% expansion. Eicher brand total volumes exceeded the 100,000 unit mark with sales of 100,980 units (representing 15.1% growth), while exports rose 33.9% to 6,933 units. Consolidated revenue from operations reached Rs 27,076.61 crore (with net sales of Rs 26,514.25 crore), representing a 14.8% increase, while consolidated profit after tax (PAT) rose to Rs 1,466.56 crore. Standalone operations generated Rs 26,995.89 crore in revenue, a 14.8% growth—and a standalone PAT of Rs 1,455.19 crore.
R&D Spend Drives New Pro X Technology Launches
VECV’s volume scaling was supported by targeted investments in R&D and intellectual property (IP). Standalone capital R&D expenditure stood at Rs 283.38 crore, complemented by Rs 312.03 crore in standalone revenue R&D spending. This investment yielded 252 patent filings and over 3,300 new ideas via VECV's innovation platform. Technology absorption in FY26 led to the launch of the Pro X Diesel with Lean NOx Trap (LNT) technology and Electronic Power Steering, the Pro X CNG with single-point injection, and patented Quad Lock leak-proof joints. The company also introduced Driver State Monitoring Systems (DSMS) and expanded its alternate fuel portfolio, including electric and liquefied natural gas (LNG) commercial vehicles.
