VECV's domestic wholesales drops by 20.3% YoY in April 2024

VECV's domestic wholesales drops by 20.3% YoY in April 2024

Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) reported a domestic wholesale drop in sales by 20.3% at 4898 units during April 2024, as against 6142 units registered in April 2023. 

As per a regulatory filing, the LD trucks and LMD trucks (3.5–18.5 18.5 tonnes) category witnessed a 24.8% drop to 2,264 units in April 2024 from 3011 units during the similar period in the previous year. 

The heavy-duty trucks (over 18.5 tonnes) reported 1,263 units in April this year, which translates to 20.6% as against 1,590 units in April of last year. 

The light and medium duty bus contributed 1,253 unit wholesales in April 2024, a 14.2% drop when compared with 1,461 units in April 2023. The heavy-duty bus, on the other hand, witnessed a 47.5% jump to 118 units as against 80 units in April 2023.
