VECV Reports 35% Rise in October Dispatches to 10,861 Units

VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) reported total factory dispatches of 10,861 units in October 2026, marking a 34.9 percent year-on-year growth compared to 8,050 units dispatched in October 2025.

Dispatches across the total Eicher Trucks and Buses brand, including electric vehicles, expanded 36.2 percent to 10,587 units during the month against 7,771 units in the year-ago period.

Within the domestic market, Eicher dispatches grew 37 percent year-on-year to 9,676 units from 7,070 units. Domestic growth was led by heavy-duty trucks (18.5 tonnes and above), which rose 45 percent to 2,719 units, while small and light-to-medium-duty trucks (below 18.5 tonnes) saw dispatches increase 43 percent to 6,053 units.

However, domestic bus dispatches declined, with light-to-medium-duty buses down 2 percent to 826 units and heavy-duty buses contracting 30 percent to 78 units.

Export shipments recorded a 30 percent year-on-year increase in October 2026, totaling 911 units compared to 701 units in the corresponding month of the previous year.

Overseas dispatches of heavy-duty trucks grew 151 percent to 196 units, while bus exports rose 86 percent to 401 units. Small and light-to-medium-duty truck exports declined 23 percent to 314 units. Meanwhile, dispatches for the Volvo Trucks and Buses brand stood at 274 units, marginally down from the 279 units in October 2025.

For the year-to-date period from April to October 2026, cumulative VECV dispatches expanded 23.6 percent to 63,746 units compared to 51,561 units recorded in the corresponding seven-month period of the previous financial year. Cumulative domestic Eicher brand dispatches stood at 58,081 units, representing a 25.7 percent increase over FY26 volumes.
