Varroc Engineering Ltd. has launched the third edition of its student innovation programme, Eureka Challenge 3.0, with registrations now open on the Unstop platform. The competition targets undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students across India, with a particular focus on pre-final-year students from the 2027 graduating batch.

The challenge is open to students from a range of disciplines including Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, E&TC, Information Technology, Mechanical, Automobile, and allied engineering branches. Participants may enter individually or in teams of up to four members. Once registered, students are required to download problem statements from the platform and submit their solutions in the form of a detailed PowerPoint presentation, accompanied by an optional simulation video. There is no cap on the number of ideas a participant can submit, and the format is designed to give students flexibility in how they approach and present their thinking.

The problem statements are drawn from real challenges within the automotive and mobility sector, reflecting Varroc's areas of product development. Top performers will be evaluated through a structured, multi-stage process and will be eligible for cash prizes and pre-placement offers (PPOs) with Varroc. The programme also provides participants with direct interaction with the company's domain experts, offering a degree of industry exposure that goes beyond a standard academic setting.

Arjun Jain, CEO of Business I at Varroc, said the initiative is connected to the company's Graduate Engineer Trainee programme and reflects its broader aim of developing engineering talent capable of contributing to the transition toward safer, smarter, and more sustainable mobility. He described Eureka as one of the internal platforms the company uses to identify and cultivate that talent pipeline.

The launch of Eureka Challenge 3.0 follows two previous editions that collectively drew participation from thousands of students across India. The programme is positioned as part of Varroc's effort to bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical demands of the automotive industry — an objective that has taken on added significance as the sector undergoes a shift toward electrification and advanced vehicle systems.

India's automotive components industry has been expanding its focus on domestic engineering talent in recent years, with several tier-1 suppliers running structured campus engagement initiatives. For students, such competitions have become one of the more direct routes to securing early industry exposure and, in some cases, employment offers ahead of graduation.

Varroc Engineering Ltd., incorporated in 1988, is a global tier-1 automotive component manufacturer listed on both the National Stock Exchange (VARROC) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (541578). The company reported revenues of ₹81,718 million from continued operations in FY25 and employs more than 6,100 people globally, including over 750 R&D engineers. It operates 37 manufacturing facilities and seven R&D centres, and has filed more than 120 patents. Its product portfolio spans E-mobility solutions, body systems, lighting, human-machine interface (HMI) systems, ICE powertrain components, and advanced electronics, supplied to major OEMs across two-wheeler, three-wheeler, passenger vehicle, commercial vehicle, and off-highway vehicle segments worldwide.
