Valeo wins GM's Supplier of the Year award in ADAS

Valeo has sold more than 1.5 billion ADAS sensors over the past 30 years and plans to sell more than 3 billion sensors over the next 5 years.

Valeo, a France-based firm focused on technologies for driver assistance, has been awarded by General Motors as Supplier of the Year in the category of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The company has extensive technological and industrial expertise in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), enabling it to produce very efficient solutions at optimal cost. The company has sold more than 1.5 billion ADAS sensors over the past 30 years and plans to sell more than 3 billion sensors over the next 5 years.

Vehicles are offering more ADAS functionality to ensure the safety of passengers and to gradually pave the way for autonomous driving. ADAS technology ranges from automatic emergency braking in the event of danger, to monitoring driver alertness, maintaining the vehicle in the correct lane, adapting speed automatically, and adjusting the lighting.
