V-GREEN, the global electric vehicle charging station development company, has signed a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited to deploy EV charging infrastructure at HPCL retail outlets across India.

The collaboration will leverage HPCL's extensive network of over 24,400 retail outlets to accelerate the rollout of electric vehicle charging stations. HPCL currently operates more than 5,300 EV charging stations under its HP e-Charge brand, along with over 150 battery swapping stations nationwide.

V-GREEN was founded by billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, who also established VinFast, the Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer. The charging company operates approximately 150,000 charging ports in Vietnam and has expanded to Indonesia and the Philippines.

The partnership represents a significant step in developing India's EV ecosystem as the country pursues cleaner transportation alternatives. India is the world's third-largest automotive market, making it a strategic focus for international EV infrastructure providers.

According to the agreement, V-GREEN will work with HPCL to establish charging stations at fuel station locations across different markets in India. The initiative aims to improve convenience for EV users and support the broader adoption of electric vehicles.

HPCL, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under India's Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has been diversifying into alternative energy sources as part of its energy transition strategy. The state-owned oil and gas corporation operates refineries, terminals, pipelines, and retail outlets throughout the country.

The collaboration is part of V-GREEN and VinFast's broader efforts to build a comprehensive EV ecosystem in India, encompassing manufacturing, charging infrastructure, after-sales services, and battery recycling facilities.

V-GREEN positions itself as working toward becoming a global pioneer in green infrastructure, offering charging solutions across international markets under its mission "For a Green Future for Everyone."
