Tier-1 major Uno Minda has introduced a range of automotive filters, consisting air filters, oil filters, and fuel filters in the Indian aftermarket for commercial vehicle applications. The company has collaborated with its long-standing Japanese partner Roki Japan – a leader in automotive filtration equipment – to introduce these high-quality products in the Indian aftermarket.

The range of Uno Minda’s commercial vehicle filters starts at Rs 121, and customers could buy the products online, or at retail stores.

The company claims that Roki-Uno Minda’s manufacturing processes meet the highest industry standards, and deploy advanced technologies, thereby producing long-lasting, and superior quality automotive filters. The latest Uno Minda filters claim to block even fine particles, thereby improving vehicle performance, and reducing wear and tear of engine components. The air filter, for instance, is designed to effectively safeguard the engine against impurities, whereas the fuel filter is designed to screen out dust and dirt particles and water content from the fuel which can have adverse effects on the fuel injection and engine components.

According to Anand Kumar, Head of Product & Strategy, Aftermarket Domain, Uno Minda, "We at Uno Minda believe that commercial vehicles have a huge role in the economy, and as per our market research, the clogging of a commercial vehicle’s engine is a major pain point of individual owners, and fleet operators. To solve this problem, we have introduced superior quality commercial filters in the aftermarket in association with Roki Japan to ensure availability of effective filter design with advanced filtration technology. In order to maximise engine performance and ensure smooth and effective operation under all driving conditions, our filters are made in controlled manufacturing facilities in India using imported advanced filtration paper. They are extensively tested for their durability and performance and we are confident that our new range of filters will not only meet or surpass customer expectations but also increase the general efficiency and lifespan of their vehicles."

Uno Minda’s aftermarket distribution network consists of over 1400 business partners, more than 40,000 retailers, and 70,000 service points covering 600 districts across India.
