Uno Minda Enters Coolant Market with Two-Variant Range for Extreme Temperatures
The OAT-based tropical and anti-freeze coolants are priced between ₹272 and ₹575, and will be available across offline and online retail channels.
Uno Minda, a Tier 1 automotive components supplier, on April 23 launched a two-variant engine coolant range — tropical and anti-freeze, designed to protect engines in high- and low-temperature conditions across India, making it available on Amazon, Flipkart, and Unomindakart as well as offline retail outlets.
The coolants are formulated using Organic Acid Technology (OAT) and high-performance additives. The tropical variant, priced at ₹272 MRP, is engineered for heat dissipation in high-temperature conditions, while the anti-freeze variant, priced at ₹575 MRP, is built to prevent engine fluid from freezing in cold climates. Both are designed to guard against rust, corrosion, and oxidation, and come in a concentrated formulation that allows flexible dilution across a range of vehicle types.
Anand Kumar, Business Head, Uno Minda Aftermarket, said, "As vehicles today operate across varied and often demanding conditions, the need for dependable engine protection is more important than ever. Designed to perform across temperature extremes, the tropical coolant enables efficient heat dissipation in high temperatures, while the anti-freeze coolant prevents freezing in low temperatures, ensuring smooth engine operation. Its OAT-based formulation enhances service life and protects against rust, corrosion, and oxidation. The concentrated formulation allows flexible dilution and ensures compatibility with a wide range of vehicles, making it a dependable solution for consistent engine protection. Our new coolant is engineered to offer consistent performance, durability, and flexibility, ensuring enhanced engine life and efficiency for our customers."
Uno Minda's aftermarket division covers 30-plus product categories for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger cars, commercial vehicles, tractors, and off-road vehicles. Its distribution network spans over 40,000 retailers and 70,000 service points across 600-plus districts in India.
